Bartholomew (Tobin) II

Eldar, 19th of ninthmoon. After we went adventuring earlier, we stayed in Harmini as requested by someone from Kythrim to do other things. We decided to stop the rainforest and volcano cultists from destroying the temple to death and the tree of life. I forgot if there were any encounters on the way, so ill just skip to when we got there. Our goal was to patrol and find cultists. We found three in the first section: one from the volcano cultists and two from the rainforest cultists. We then went to the next section and found a dead body. It had a stab wound right through its torso, and we could see three tracks. One circling the body, one going away from the body's back, and one going away from the side. We chose to follow the one circling the body. I believed it would be the one to the side of it, but I needed to follow the party. That track led us to a place where two parties were arguing. They had a pyromancer on one side and a wild mage on the other. This led me to believe that they were rainforest and volcano cultists in disguise, but I chose to not voice my beliefs as doing so might cause both sides to attack us. They eventually decided to "resolve things the simple way," and the pyromancer immediately used inferno aura. That dropped almost every single cultist, allowing our party to easily finish them. We then went back and found multiple shrines to death, and made sacrifices. Two people refused to be checked for disguises, but we did not want to immediately drop them as most people didn't want to either. We eventually agreed with the other priests to drop them, as they were spreading distrust within the group. - Bartholomew
